Post 8: Importance of English 1101

     During this term we learned quite a bit of material that helped me become successful in this class. One of the topics we discussed was rhetorical context which helped me to better understand the reader's point of view. This was a huge part of this lesson as it continually encouraged us to write to read. Another topic that we focused on was MLA format which was also a huge part in the lesson and will continue to help myself in future English classes however I do believe this is the least important in the class. The topics we discussed in the class will continue to help me grow in my writing and will help to be a huge success to my ethical career.      Let me explain a little about about rhetorical context. Post 7: High School Writing to College Writing

    Making the transition to college life can be difficult, but have you ever tried to make the transition to college level writing?     College academics can vary in many ways when it comes to staying on top of your work and advocating for yourself. In high school, you find yourself being encouraged by teachers and/or parents to get your work done which is not a luxury you will ever find yourself having in college. The professors want to see you win, but they can't force you to win.
